INSTIL

IN MEMORIES

Some places are filled with stories and tales from the past

adorned with countless memories, traversing through time and shaped into 'narratives.' We select different places and retell them in ways that align with today’s lifestyles, presenting a unique angle of Thailand through distinct and unparalleled scents.

The raw materials are gifts from nature

We create fragrances by avoiding chemical mixtures and use alcohol extracted from sugarcane and molasses. We select fresh natural ingredients, some of which can only be harvested during specific periods, utilizing them to create distinctly Thai scents through the process of steaming and infusing with the essence of nature, carefully arranged to evoke new memories. They become memorable gifts from nature bestowed upon us.

We create scents that instills memories of Thailand

"Scent" serves as a vehicle to transport memories from the past to the present. We choose a method that preserves the Thai essence, known as ‘Nam Ob Nam Prung.’ It involves extracting fragrant oils from Thai flowers and leaves using ancient techniques: roasting Niam leaves to release their aroma and combining them with alcohol, flowers, and infusing them with incense smoke. This meticulous process blends ancient rituals with contemporary perfume-making methods, resulting in unique fragrances that is Journal’s olfactory signature.

Embracing the wisdom of Thai fragrance blending, combining the unique traditional Thai technique of "Nam Ob Nam Prung" with modern perfume craftsmanship.
